Parents and/or care givers are always welcome to stay with their child to help settling in.
We at APPE want all children to have a happy day and as smooth a transition as possible.
We AAPE therefore before your booking commences, we do require parents and /or care givers to visit the Centre 2-3 times and stay with your child.
After this our staff are always available to advise on settling and any concerns you may have.
AAPE Centre provides nutritious morning, lunch and a late snack for the children. Our vegetable garden provides much of the daily vegetables for lunch and snacks usually consists of fruit and carrot or cheese sticks and crackers or sandwiches (vegemite, jam etc) or baking e.g. muffins, scones etc).We encourage a healthy diet for our children and humbly request that you also pack a water bottle only and fruit, dried fruit, crackers, plain biscuits, cheese, carrot sticks, hummus etc as supplements. We strongly discourage the children bringing sweets, chocolate bars, coloured snacks, chippies of any high salt, sugar etc. Please label all containers.
We at AAPE we enjoy and love to acknowledge by celebrating Childrens birthdays and those children that are leaving our Centre. If you wish a cake from home is hugely appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
Parents and/or givers please ensure your child brings a change of clothes to preschool each day. Please label, name all clothes and shoes.
Please note, Gumboots are great for winter but the children are allowed only to wear these outside. Therefore please include shoes or slippers for inside wear.
Warm jackets and hats or sunhats are essential within season. If your child is in nappies we ask that about five (5) disposable nappies per day are provided.
As AAPE cannot be responsible for breakages or loss of toys, we humbly ask that you support us by reinforcing this by not allowing the children to bring along their own treasures from home. Please note: This does not include that really special cuddly that a young child may need to ease settling in or sleep time.
Children that are going through toilet training need lots of extra clothes.
As a suggestion say 3 to 4 pair of undies, extra trousers, shorts, dresses and socks and spare shoes if possible.
We ask not to send the children to the Centre who are being toilet trained in overalls or clothes that are hard to remove in a hurry.
